This week on the farm
What a memorable Thanksgiving it was! So good to be with family as we gathered together to give thanks to the Lord for our many wonderful blessings. Everyone was able to stay through the weekend which gave opportunity for a bounty of FUNtastic activities to include a massive corn picking expedition at a local Certified Naturally Grown farm that had organically grown field corn available. We harvested a good 50+ bushels which will be used primarily for the pastured pork operation here on the farm.

Dad & Adam are off to southern VA for a load up of several more dairy cows and hopefully a bull.

Egg production is increasing just a little more though still way below what we’re hoping for. Come early!

Mom & the girls are in the kitchen prepping a bounty of baked goods. We were very light on goodies last week but get ready for market tomorrow. Cinnamon Rolls, Bread, Cookies, Tarts, Granola, & More return in force!

Pumpkin Bread about to go in to the oven
Freshly washed eggs…..just wish there were a bit more coming – little by little its making a comeback
